What do I do? My primary job and the majority of my time is spent executing our company’s primary objective which is to provide clients with exceptional entertainment.  In addition to selecting and planning entertainment I manage our office operations, company marketing, accounting, payroll, etc. Typically small business owner stuff. Lots of hats. I also daily review new artist interested in representation and try to keep up to speed on the latest trends in entertainment. Although much of my time is spent in the office I also regularly support our events onsite. Regularly catching potential new talent is also a task I try to squeeze in as often as possible.

Where I work: During the week most of my work is completed in our downtown office.  The bulk of my work (event planning and preparation side) is done at my desk and on the phone or computer. Many evenings and weekends are spent either supporting the shows we’ve booked or seeing and evaluating new artists.  This work takes place at a huge variety of locations from banquet halls, parks, bars, country clubs, casinos, festivals,  etc..

How and Why I got on the Board: I know from service on other non-profit boards that actively participating in leadership within an organization not only provides an opportunity to give something back but it also serves to deepen existing relationships and develop new ones.   I believe helping ILEA grow and prosper is a great way to promote high event standards across our community.  Surrounding myself with exceptional people in the industry has always been important and what better way than through ILEA.

What's so great about ILEA? ILEA is a best in class organization.  The membership is diverse and I like that the focus is on education and professional development rather than just serving as a networking organization.  I truly appreciate that the quality of the work I’ve seen from fellow members is top shelf.

My Favorite ILEA Memory or MomentWinning the two WOW awards in Cleveland was a thrill and is certainly one of my favorite ILEA memories.
