  • What is ILEA?
    ILEA stands for the International Live Events Association. ILEA is the principal community representing creative event professionals, globally.
  • If I join the Columbus Chapter am I also a member of the International Chapter?
    Yes, when you join a local chapter, you also become a member of the international organization.
  • Who runs ILEA?
    ILEA Seattle is governed by a local Board of Directors that is nominated and elected by the chapter. At the international level, ILEA is run by a Board of Governors and a full-time management team. The chapter and international boards are volunteer positions
  • Can I attend an event without being a member?
    We encourage you to try ILEA out. Most of our local events are open to all. However, some have extra member benefits and some are for members only. You will get the most out of ILEA if you join and become involved in the chapter.
  • How do I join ILEA?
    The easiest and fastest way to join ILEA is online at www.ileahub.com. Your membership will be immediately activated and will be valid for 12 months.
  • When and where are the chapter meetings and events held?
    Chapter meetings and events are held every month - and we cover a different topic and theme. This is so that you can see the latest event industry venues while also discussing current topics, trends and more.
  • Does ILEA offer any type of certification?
    Yes, the Certified Special Events Professional or CSEP designation. The CSEP designation is the hallmark of professional achievement in the special events industry. It is earned through education, performance, experience, and service to the industry, and reflects a commitment to professional conduct and ethics. For more information click here.
  • I am a member, how do I make changes to my member record?
    If you are a new member or have never logged into the International Website, you will use the membership number listed on your ILEA ID; and your password is welcome. However, once you change your password after your first log-in; you will need to retain it for your reference and future entry to the site. If you don’t remember your username or password click here.
  • How do I get the most out of membership?
    Attend meetings Network Volunteer Join a committee Attend regional and/or national conferences and events Enter the Esprit Awards Become certified via the CSEP designation

  • What is the SEARCH Foundation?
